Bichon Frise Dog Breed
Today’s featured dog breed is the Bichon Frise. (Photo from AKC website.)
The Bichon Frise was bred in Europe to be a companion dog for the nobility. However, it might have originally come from the Canary Islands.
This dog has a great temperament and is easy to get along with and train. The Bichon Frise is a small dog and is great for apartments, singles, and the elderly. It is not destructive at all, and it is very affectionate. It does like to have a lot of attention.
The only thing about the Bichon Frise that can cause a lot of work is the grooming. It must be brushed regularly, although it does not have to be fluffed out if it is not being shown. One good thing about the fur is that it does not shed.
