Blogdog and Dale,

Thanks for the comments and for more information about Max! It is so good of you to do this rescue work. I was not aware that there are also mixed breed rescue groups - good to know!

Pat,

Thanks picking up Max's story!! His life was so sad up to the point Karen and I rescued him. And yet his spirit was unbroken. He taught me a lot about forgiveness and moving on...after all he is such a happy dog and does not carry a grudge! I am not so sure I would be in a great mood if I had been tied up with huge rope to a stinky basement (which was his bedroom and bathroom)...for over a year...after being rescued from another family that had him tied to a chicken coop. The tips of his ears had been chewed off and he had other minor health issues. But he was a very sweet boy and he will make a great pet!

Hi Pat -- Thanks for posting about Dale's and my adventure story with Max. Dale has a photo and her own side of the story on her blog. Not sure if your comments take HTML coding, but here's the URL: http://tuckerthechow.typepad.com .

Most of my dogs have been rescues and rehomes, and it never fails to move me to see how grateful and forgiving rescued dogs can be.
