Here is a tip from Two Dog Press:

As you’re trying out new recipes you find on the Internet or in cookbooks, remember that not all food that’s good for humans is good for dogs. Some foods can cause allergic reactions–itchy skin, rashes, dull, thinning hair, and other coat problems. Others, if consumed in sufficient quantities, can make dogs sick or even kill them. With that caution out of the way, check out the great recipes for dog treats on the Two Dog Press site.

They have recipes for:

Everyday Biscuits
Big Boy Beef Biscuits
Peanut Butter Bones
Chicken and Honey Biscuits
Parmesan Herb Treats
Apple Cinnamon Drops
Harry’s Party Pupcakes
Whole Wheat Cream Cheese Danish
Peanut Butter n’ Honey Oat Crunchies (corn-, wheat- and yeast-free)

Have fun baking!

Those are great! I’m neurotic about what I feed my dogs.. they eat better than I do!

I have a recipe to share.. it’s for Targ’s (my big guy) Favorite Muffins… it started out as the Breakfast Bars that Wendy Volhard has in her book “The holistic Guide to a healthy dog” but has since morphed into something completely different… I just kept playing with it, reducing fat, adding fruit etc…

Anyway. .. if you want it, it’s on my website at http://www.energypaws.com/newsletters/august.html

    about 1/2 way down.

    Enjoy!
