Kids and Dogs
Here is a great website for kids who love dogs or want a dog: How To Love Your Dog.
This website is full of resources for teaching kids about dogs. If you are planning on getting a dog, this would be a good site for your kids to look at. Some of the topics include getting a new dog, dog training, dog breeds, behavior FAQ’s, what to do on your first day and first year with a dog, exercise, housebreaking, dog activities, and much more!
There is even a page of things kids can do if they can’t have a dog. Examples are: walking a neighbor’s dog, volunteering at a shelter, or getting a different kind of pet.
There is also some good information for safety regarding dogs (your own and strange dogs).
I think this site is great, and I’m sure your kids will like it too!
