Laughing Dogs

According to an ABC news story, dogs do laugh. Not only that, but the sound of a dog laughing is very calming to other dogs.

Researchers have found that a long, low panting sound is actually the way that dogs laugh. And when they played this sound to a bunch of barking dogs in a shelter, they quieted down immediately.

I found this article really interesting. I am going to have to watch Bunny or Shelley to see if they ever do this.

I have noticed that when dogs are happy, they let their tongues hang out and pant. But I have not noticed actual laughing. Now that I have read this, I am really curious to see it for myself.
