Hi, my name is Pat Doyle, and I am the publisher of this website.

I started Doggiewoggie in 2005. I had caught the blogging bug, and I decided to start a blog about dogs, since I really love them. At the time, I had a wonderful dog named Shelley. (She is in doggie heaven now.) I used to call her by the nickname of “Doggiewoggie”, so that’s where I got the name for my dog site.

Since those early days, this website has grown beyond the original blog, to be a large website packed with all kinds of dog information, fun stuff, dog news, cute dog photos, and more.

My current dog is named Cinnamon, and I have had her since 2006. I don’t call her “Doggiewoggie” so much; she has her own nickname – “Cinnie Minnie”. It’s funny how these nicknames just seem to happen!

Cinnamon spent the first 4 years of her life in a puppy mill, used as a breeder dog. When I got her from the humane society, she was a mess. She had a bad ear infection and her hair was all matted up. All she would do is shake. She was afraid of everything. She would not even drink water! I had to mix water with her food so she would not get dehydrated.

With time, she has become a normal, happy dog! She loves people now. She loves to drink water. She loves walks, where at first she had no idea how to walk on a leash. She did not know how to go up and down stairs, but you should see her run up and down them now! I am so happy that she has come out of her shell.

Since I love dogs so much, working on Doggiewoggie has been a labor of love. I hope you enjoy it as much as I love the process of creating it!
